Paul began his flooring career in childhood, helping his brothers on job sites and later managing their crews. He gained expertise in installation, purchasing, sales, and customer service before opening his own successful store. Along the way, he expanded his skills by assisting other tradesmen, in exchange for learning new skills – and ultimately pursuing his goal of becoming a general contractor to design and build projects. With a lifetime of experience in all phases of residential construction, from modest homes to high-end luxury builds, Paul has truly mastered his craft and brings unmatched expertise to every project.

Owner & Man Behind the Dream

Paul Paré

Paul Paré brings over 38 years of expertise in the construction industry, excelling in customer service, architectural design, and construction project management. His career journeyed from running a successful flooring store to becoming a general contractor specializing in custom homes and remodeling projects. In 2020, Paul founded The Smart House, LLC, combining his extensive experience with a passion for innovative design and property development. Paul manages the company by dividing his time between the office, working on-site with his crew, and directly supporting clients. Clients benefit from having one primary point of contact throughout the entire process - Paul (and his executive assistant, Nicole) - ensuring seamless communication and positive results. Known for his professionalism, approachable demeanor, and efficient systems, Paul consistently delivers exceptional results.

Lindsay Meyer

After obtaining a degree in Cultural Anthropology and working around the globe, Lindsay changed course and began her journey in business and project management. Over the past 17 years she has worked with numerous businesses managing operations, projects, financials and staffing. She loves creating goals and watching them come alive, her motto: “Make Magic Happen”. She has worked with The Smart House since 2021 and has a great appreciation for both the business and the team.

Executive Assistant

Nicole Alarie

Nicole brings over 21 years of experience in client relations and administrative leadership. She's worked with Paul since 2019 and thrives on fostering positive communication, finding solutions and creating efficient workflows to ensure seamless operations; including project coordination. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys time with her two dogs, yoga and hiking.

Crew Supervisor

Jesse Fiorillo

With 10 years of experience as a painter, Jesse Fiorillo has been an integral part of The Smart House since 2021. As the Crew Supervisor, he manages site visits, coordinates communication between customers, the office, and the crew and keeps projects on schedule. Jesse also drives our largest trucks and trailers, overseeing pickups, deliveries, and debris removal. Whether ensuring smooth operations or adding his painting skills to the mix, Jesse is dedicated to keeping projects moving forward.
